STAY NAIVE 

2020, 코로나로 인해 실내에서만 생활하는 사람들에게 오프라인에 대한 욕망이 커져가는 가운데 이제는 키오스크가 없으면 불편한, 언택트가 반가운 세대들도 있다. 이런 세대들은 이미 다양한 매체들을 누리며 그 이상의 것에 대한 갈망이 생겼다. 이러한 복합적인 흐름은 타인과 격리되면서도 완전히 새로운 컨텐츠를 가진 오프라인 공간을 즐기고 싶어하는 니즈로서 재탄생 된다. 이러한 욕구에 대한 해결의 시작을 태초의 오프라인, 자연에서 찾았다. 자연과 인간의 공존에 있어 1단계는 자연을 찾아가는 방식이고, 2단계는 실제 자연을 실내로 들여오는 방식으로 본다. 더 나아가 3단계를 고안하게 되었는데, 이를 통해 기존 패러다임의 특징인 자연물과 인공물 간의 구분을 무너뜨림으로써 가장 자연같은 인공물, 가장 인공물 같은 자연으로 [정제된 순수] 라는 키워드를 생성했다. 

이 [정제된 순수]에 다다를 방법론에 대한 해답을 에비앙에서 도출한다. 그들은 물에 ‘약수’라는 이미지를 부여하여 인공적 자연이 순수한 자연 이상만큼 인간에게 이롭다는 아이디어를 제시했다. 이들이 자연과 인공을 서로 분리하지 않고, ’치환한다’고 파악했다. 이러한 에비앙을 대표하는 이미지로 ‘얼음, 샘, 안개, 설산’을 선정했고, 이를 ‘유리,(인공)호수,벨벳,콘크리트’라는 건축적 요소로 치환해 표현하고자 한다. 

In 2020, as the desire for offline is growing among people who only live indoors due to coronavirus, there are z generations who are uncomfortable without a kiosk and are happy to be untouched. These generations already enjoyed a variety of media and have a craving for completely new content. This complex flow is reborn as a new need to enjoy an offline space with completely new content while being isolated from others. We found the beginning of the solution of these needs in the original offline, nature. In the coexistence of nature and humans, the first step is the way to visit nature, and the second step is to bring the real nature to indoors. We further devised a third steps by breaking the distinction between natural and artificial objects, which is a characteristic of the existing paradigm. And we have created our own keyword 'refined pure' by advocating the most artificial nature and the most natural artificial. 

We found the answer in Evian for the methodology to reach this 'refined purity'. They gave their water the image of 'medical water', suggesting the idea that for human, artificial nature is as beneficial, or more beneficial than pure nature. We saw that they do not separate natural and artificial from each other, but 'replace'. We selected 'Ice as a water/Springs/Fog/Snow Mountain' as the image representing Evian, and we intend to express it by replacing it with an architectural element 'glass/(artificial)lake/velvet/concrete'.
